In this video, J. Curtis Nickel, MD, FRCSC, discusses the origins of saw palmetto as an herbal therapy and how it was developed to treat lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Nickel is a professor of urology at Queen’s University, and a research chair in urologic pain and inflammation at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
