Rutherford, NJ-The Colpexin Sphere from Adamed, Inc. is an intravaginal device that has been shown in clinical trials to safely and effectively reduce pelvic organ prolapse when placed above the levator ani muscle. The device also helps to strengthen pelvic floor musculature when used in conjunction with regularly performed pelvic floor exercises, the manufacturer says. The product is available in diameters from 32 mm to 44 mm. A Colpexin Fitting and Sizing Tool Kit corresponds with sphere diameters to aid in fitting patients with the unit.
