Going beyond telehealth coverage after December 31, 2024, there are other specific issues that urologists are interested in. For example, payment parity. Will telehealth visits be covered at the same rate as in-person visits? We don't have perfect visibility on that, but there hasn't been any strong signal that payment parity is going to be changed.
Then there's always this concern about doing virtual care across state lines; that's called interstate telehealth. Unfortunately, I don't think that there's going to be any major achievements in that arena right now. Interstate telehealth is governed at the state level. Fifty states have 50 different perspectives on this, so that might take a while before we have some sort of cohesive national plan for that.
