MRI device yields high-res prostate images without coil

White Plains, NY-ProStream with ETP+ is a new prostate MRI product from CAD Sciences that delivers simultaneous high temporal and high spatial resolution of the prostate in dynamic contrast-enriched series. The device uses a series of proprietary software algorithms-not an endorectal coil-to calculate tissue permeability and extracellular volume fraction and creates a hybrid image series from acquired data, ensuring high spatial resolution and signal-to-noise. Imaging workflow is streamlined because technicians do not need to position the endorectal coil, and the cost of disposable coils is eliminated.

Laser side fire device is available for BPH

Irvine, CA-Trimedyne, Inc.'s FDA-approved VaporMAX Side Firing Laser Fiber is now available for use with the company's 80-watt Holmium lasers and Lumenis (Coherent) 60-watt to 100-watt Holmium lasers in the treatment of BPH.
